PULP Presents… Hundred Dollar Cigar, 27/02/09
The PULP Sessions are something of which we here at PULP are very proud; an idea that’s very much in its infancy, we’ve all had tremendous amounts of fun organizing and producing them. There’s something immensely satisfying about inviting bands to our offices (deep within the cavernous inner-workings of the student’s union building) to perform for us (and vicariously, thanks to the wonder of electro-magnetic videotape and the internet, for you).
The latest band to graciously accept our proposal was Hundred Dollar Cigar, a local blues-rock band who are making waves around Bradford. They came to our office armed only with a few guitars, some clip-on sequin bows, and a handful of remarkable pop songs. Not only did we enjoy ourselves, but the band seemed to as well, as they’ve agreed to come back and play for us again soon. You have by no means seen the last of Hundred Dollar Cigar.

In a band? We’re always looking for new bands to play at PULP, especially local up-and-comers; if you’re in a band and would like to get your material in front of the camera, contact John, the makeshift booking agent, at john@pulpmagazine.co.uk to discuss the matter.
