Twilight

Does anyone else have a mild case of Twilight fever?

Read the books, seen the film…Googled Edward+Cullen more times than ever necessary? I thought so.

Well, read on for some Twilight inspired styling.

Now im not suggesting we all start dressing up as vampire goths from now on. Quite the contrary, it isn’t just the look of the characters that is appealing, it’s the dark and mysterious attitude too, the kind of attitude you can sense from across a room. Couldn’t we all do with a dose of mystery, a little bit of obscurity to counterbalance the internet culture of everybody knowing everybody else’s business?

So if you want to inject a bit of mystique into your life then here are our stylish suggestions for a grunged up yet seductive look. Tip: Must be worn with attitude.

Dark Romance was a big trend on the catwalks last year at YSL and Givenchy and it seems to be ever evolving as last years lace is replaced by sheer fabrics to give a more defined silhouette. Our favourite grunge girl Alice Dellal shows us how its done at a Vogue party in New York recently wearing an almost see-through Alexander Wang dress to great effect. If black lipstick is too bold then try a red wine lip colour such as Decadent Plum by No.7 as a softer alternative. Rimmels Deliciously Dark nail colour is also a good substitute for black. There are sheer dresses a plenty in shops at the moment, Asos.com has a good selection. Here are our picks below.
